Giveaway #2; Ouija Board Pendant Necklace!

Firstly, congrats to last week's winner, Rena B! We'll be contacting you to get your information so we can send your necklace! (:

This week's giveaway is something kinda spooky I picked up from a local crafter in Baltimore, Maryland on a family trip one spring. It is a double sided pendant on a silver chain.

I was originally attracted to this necklace because my family has a big interest in horror movies and the paranormal.  While I refuse to go near or use a Ouijia board, I couldn't deny that this was a bold, eccentric piece for anybody trying to make a statement.

In order to win this necklace, please answer the posed question below and remember to tell us your name and leave your email!

This week's question is, "If you could snap your fingers and appear somewhere else, where would you be an why?"

A winner will be chosen in two weeks on May 11th, 2013.

  1. Definitely in the arms of the boy who took me on a date today. Simply because he respects me and wants nothing more than to be with me, just as much as i do. I also don't see him very often, so it would be nice to snap my fingers and be there with him.

  2. If I could snap my fingers and be anywhere right now, I'd let myself go to Fingal's Cave. Off the coast of Scotland. I would be with my sweetheart, take way too many pictures and have a flight planned back to New York City in time to watch the moon sink. I would because it's one of those perfect little days to a place that you'll probably never go but love to look at because it's haunting and beautiful just like everything good in the world. And who better to share that with than the one you love? Just for the memories, everything for the memories!

  3. If I could snap my fingers, I would love to be in Italy. But not just any place in Italy, in the old country where my mother came from. Anyone can go to Rome or Milan and see all the touristy cites for a few weeks, but I can literally spend months back where my mother lived. With tight windy cobble stone streets and houses built onto a beautiful mount side, I find that place to be the definition of true beauty. The food is even the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. Every made from scratch, to the point where you can practically see finger prints in your pasta. While that may not seem appetizing to a consumerist society like America, there is truly nothing more satisfying then eating something made by your own two hands. Even the people there are like a dream. Always greeting you with smiling faces, the locals are peaceful people who enjoy the little things in life. And so, I would love to be in the little village a top a Mount back in my mother's home country.

  4. Without a doubt in my mind, if I could snap my fingers and appear anywhere else in this world, it would be in Germany, in my mother's family's native country. I'm even currently learning to speak the language, so I can live there someday. I'm a huge history and paranormal buff, so there in Germany, I would love to take tours of all the World War II museums and concentration camps, and the plethoras of haunted places and sites throughout the country, as Europe alone is chock-full of all that spine-tingling, good stuff. I'd make sure to try the restaurants recommended by the locals, and I'd go out of my way to chow down on the best schnitzel and spaetzle in town, because there are few foods I love more than those! I'd take along my mother and my boyfriend of seven years, and we'd stay in the German countryside, but take the train to the city for the afternoon and evening attractions. I'd take more photos and videos than should be allowed, of every little thing I laid my eyes upon. We'd try their abundance of domestic beers... because how could you not, when you're in Germany of all places? And we'd buy ourselves the cheesy tourist shirts and caps, and send postcards to family back home in the U.S. We'd go hiking in the country, and go to local shows in the city, and all would be lovely, not to mention delightfully frightening, because nothing is as fear-inducing as a place unknown.

  5. If i could snap my fingers and be anywhere in the world, i'd go to Israel to spend mothers day with my mom. she moved to Tel Aviv about a year ago, and i haven't seen her in person since then. We'd spend the day floating in the dead sea, walking through groves of olive trees, and eating amazing Mediterranean food. I'd buy her flowers, of course, and we'd watch the sunset over the golden temple on the hill in Jerusalem. We'd laugh and talk all night, and everything would be wonderful and worry free, because sometimes the thing you need most in the world is a mother's warm embrace.
